Suggest Treatment For Sore Spot Near A Hair Follicle In The Genital Area

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Oct 2015
Question: I normally do not use lube when I masturbate. And I have dry skin. I ended up with a sore spot where hair follicles seemed present and are to trim - I knicked w the trimmers and it scabbed but as things go - the scab didn't last long and kept falling.

So after it healed the skin where that knock happened - is bumpier and darker in color.

When I bruise or have a cut that heals- my skin in the affected area is dark.

Does this seem to be of concern?

Brief Answer:
Most probably folliculitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them as well as the image attached. You most probably are suffering from folliculitis. It usually takes few days to recover. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:

- apply polyfax plus ointment over the sore area thrice a day
- avoid masturbation till you become healthy again.
- use some lubricant to avoid friction and injury
- keep genital area clean.

Hopefully by following above mentioned steps you will recover soon BUT if condition remains same or aggravates then you need to visit hospital and get an appointment for a "Consultant Dermatologist" for further workup.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
