default
Posted on Fri, 4 Sep 2015
Question: Hi. On my right side of my chest...above my breast...I have a hard knot. I have noticed it for awhile now...like over 6 months and is painful...always sore and throbbing. I can't tell if it's a hard cyst and should be worried or it is just my chest/rib cage sticking out a little more. I just don't know what to do.

Thank you.

Thanks for your query

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. As you are having knot and it is painful you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. But it is advisable to visit a doctor (preferably general surgeon) to rule out any serious issue. It may be just chest cage sticking out but it is essential to get it examined by doctor to rule out serious issue.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
