Suggest Treatment For Soft Tissue Injury In Knee

default
Posted on Thu, 19 Jun 2014
Question: Sometimes after getting up from XXXXXXX Style Commode my kneecaps seem a bit locked and I cannot fully straighten my legs for some time. This has started happening from last December, when I was playing badminton regularly for 2-3 hours and putting pressure on my knee. Even while trying to climb steps two at a time, I sometimes feel kind of wobbly in the knees nowadays. I am an active person and walk about 2-3 kms per day.

Most commonly meniscus injury occurs may be associated collateral ligament injury.
You may need to do MRI knee to see for any functional defect.

As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion.
Rest and ice fomentation along with supportive brace will help to reduce locking episode and pain.

Small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS.
