Brief Answer:
Localized abscess formation

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank You for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them as well as the image. They are suggesting that it is an abscess formation. As you mentioned that there was history of trauma (in the form of an insect bite). It resulted in localized infection. I would suggest you to visit hospital where doctors will examine it and prescribe some antibiotics like amoxicilin. If it starts resolving (as in your case because it is small sized) then well and good. If not then it will require incision & drainage.

Conclusion:
Localized abscess formation can be treated on initial basis by oral antibiotics. If it persists then incision & drainage is required. Both results in complete resolution of the problem so you need not to worry. Simply visit hospital. Meanwhile keep it clean & don't unnecessarily touch it.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
