Question: Hello Dr. I am writing my medical condition & request your advice for medicine.
I am diabetic since last 20 yrs but not any regular medicine. since last 5 yrs I am suffering from impotency. My penis size also reduced & there no ejaculation. Am I suffering from Hypogonodism? There is no weight no loss nut there no weight gain also. can you please advice treatment?

Impotency is known complication of poorly treated diabetes and inevitable if there is no sugar control. I feel rather than hypogonadism it is effect of persistent rise in blood sugar for last 20 years.

Hopogonadism generarly presents with loss of desire but loss of erection can occur in both hypogonadism as well as other problems associated with diabetes.

To know whether it is hypogonnadism or not we need the level of serum testosterone and SHBG level. It will be better if you can request your nearby laboratory to provide the reports of these two tests.
