Suggest Treatment For Sinusitis And Tonsillitis

Question: My 21 year old son return from college, recently diagnosed with sinusitis and possible tonsillitis. Given Augmenting at an Urgent Care. Was told to see an ENT. Has an appt. Tuesday.
Symptoms today concerning, extreme tired, gets pale, yellow on the skin in corner of eyes.

Thanks for asking on Health care magic.

Gurgling with lukewarm water is the mainstay of treatment and should provide relief. Also give steam inhalation to your child. Water vapor will reach deep inside and would help in diluting the cough and thus would provide relief. As such, the sinuses have poor blood supply and medicines cannot reach there properly. But steam can. Give some antiallergic like cetirizine along.

I understand about his tiredness but you need to be patient as it might take some time to subside. Give him plenty of water to drink. Follow up with your doctor.
