Question: How long does it take for nausea and fatigue to go away when starting paxil? I have been on it 2 1/2 weeks. I dont feel better.

Most of my patients stop complaining for nausea at the end of one week and fatigue by two weeks. In rare cases it may extend for more duration.

In case there are persistent trouble side effects with use of Paxil symptomatic treatment can be initiated for nausea and fatigue provided paxil is effective for you.

In case the antidepressant action is also limited while side effects are prominent changing antidepressant is recommended.
