Question: i have been on humaria since march 11th 2016 for hidradenitis suppurativa that i have had for over 15 yrs now. I self inject humaria 1X weekly of 40mg, since i have been on humaria i had gotten eye vision problems that if i dont put eye drops in my eyes everyday my vision is affected, i have also been having a rash on my back and top of my shoulders, are these conditions linked to humaria for causing them? i also have been having a lot of joint pain which goes to my arms, hands, sides, and back. i was told from my doctor that the rash on my back is tinea versicolor which is contagious, But no one has contracted this in my home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Brief Answer:
Symptoms mentioned by you are unlikely to be side effects of humira tt.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Humira is associated with side effects like local pain and stinging sensation at the site of injection, fever, tiredness, weight loss, pain in upper abdomen, easy bruising, pale skin, liver problems etc.
However, vision problem or development of rash is not associated with humira.
The rash is possibly a skin lesion and it may be due to tinea versicolor as diagnosed by your doctor.
You need to consult your ophthalmologist for checking of vision to look for the cause of disturbance in vision.
Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection and it is contagious.
Its good that no one has contracted the infection in your family, however, you need to be cautious till the infection is cured.
I suggest you to consult your dermatologist for further management.

Thanks and take care
