Brief Answer:
Stop the drug if side effects are bothersome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
Abilify contains aripiprazole which is an antipsychotic drug. This is given in children with behavioral problems.
If your child has no behavioral issues, then there is no need of giving this drug.
Anyhow if he is experiencing the side effects, the drug must be stopped/changed (whatever is appropriate).

I suggest you to kindly mention his problems in details, for which he was pressured at school for examination.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Through scales and questionnaires.

Detailed Answer:
The examination will include screening for common childhood emotional and behavioral problems by a qualified psychiatrist or psychologist, who is trained in field of child psychiatry preferably.
It is done with the help of standardized scales and questionnaires and observing the behavior of child and face to face interview.

Only then appropriate intervention can be done which can be through drugs or psychological therapies.

Hope this answers your query.
Thanks.
