Question: Two days ago I woke up with shoulder pain and couldn't move my arm away from my body I went to see a doctor who said she thought it was frozen shoulder but should get it checked out and have some x-rays taken to see if was a fracture or dislocation, the x-rays showed it not to be broken or dislocated and should go back to my doctor unfortunately I can't get into see my doctor till next Thursday. Today when I woke up I had pain in my neck as well as my arm and shoulder and still can't move it, I had two spinal operations one on my neck in 2001 and one on my lower spine in 2002. Recently I have been getting swelling in both hands and pain in my hands, and neck cracking and pain, plus sciatica down my right leg. I have to go for a scan next month next month on my hands. Do you think it could be connected to my neck or spine. Can you help and should I get an emergency appointment to see my doctor again.

Brief Answer:
it seems to be connected with your neck.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms can be due to cervical spondylosis and needs proper medical management including physiotherapy and hot fomentation.
If the symptoms are severe, you can plan for an emergency appointment with your doctor.
You can take painkiller like Ibuprofen twice daily after meals along with an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg. This will help you in relieving your symptoms.

I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
