Question: My 9 year old daughter has had sharp "knife like" pains in her lower abdomen for the last three days...yesterday she passed some blood tinged mucus in her urine and she stated that she felt like she peed salt

Urine analysis and USG needed to be done, to know the cause. It may be due to Urinary tract infection, or due to small stone in urinary tract.

Wait for the result of urine analysis. If urine report is not conclusive, then I think we need to play of an ultrasound scan. Ultrasound will be helpful in diagnosing stones in urinary treat.

It is difficult to diagnose without examination; but in most probabilities this is nothing serious. Presently I would have suggested to drink plenty of water along with oral analgesic to address her pain.
