Question: Hi Doctor,

On Nov 2nd I woke up from sleep around 6 PM, had my dinner and post dinner i was yawning with my both hands in air, when i lower my hands and try to move my face on left side i noticed a sharp neck pain from left side of ear to left shoulder. I applied moove and then did it checked at a local clinic and i was given diclofenac 75mg injection in my left thigh. I felt pain for 1-2 days and then it was gone now all of a sudden today i experienced the pain again on the same injection spot when i checked i found that injection spot has swollen and when i move or when i make any leg movement its paining.

Please suggest.

P,s.. While researching online i came across this article

Brief Answer:
since the injection spot is swollen, it is likely an abscess

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX welcome to HCM, I've gone through the article,

Since the injection spot is swollen, it is likely an abscess has formed there.

I will suggest the following--

Buy some Magnesium sulphate powder and crush a little, then mix with soframycin cream and apply liberally over the spot. Cover with dressing. Change daily after bath. It will burst in a few days and release all the matter. Now continue dressing without magnesium sulphate but with soframycin till it heals.

All the best
Regards

Brief Answer:
Hi, the only other alternative I can think of is a haematoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi, the only other alternative I can think of is a haematoma--a local swelling caused due to bleeding from injection site leading to blood accumulation.. Treatment can remain same--regards
