Question: My mother is 56 years old. In September last, she suffered from viral fever and since that time she has a lot of pain in knee, joints and in finger's joints. Now, she is not even able to walk.
Please suggest some medicine or any natural treatment to overcome from this situation.

Brief Answer:
She needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that there are two possibilities that she has post viral myalgias or that she has developed arthritis and its just coincidence that it has developed after viral fever . Since she has responded to steroids , I think she has developed arthritis . If you have any blood tests or recent reports please send that to me . Its not wise to give pain killers until and unless we have determined the cause so we need to do that first . Any other query please ask.

Take care.

Dr. Shruti
