Brief Answer:
Stool tes and medicines as required - as discussed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/30 - severe stomach cramps for couple of days - come and go - have gas but no diarrhea - hurts on the top - took Gasx and Pepto bismol ...

The most probable reason can be disturbance of the bacterial flora of the intestines allowing the overgrowth of the gas producing bacteria that have produced more gas and the distension thereby causing the pain in the abdomen.

The treatment you have taken may help you if you add on Probiotics.
Secondly, get the stool tested and if there is an evidence of infection get a course of an antibiotic and you will be fine. No diarrhea does not mean that there is no intestinal infection. There can be a sub-clinical form of intestinal infection presenting like this.

Also you may please go for X-ray of the abdomen in standing position as it shows the gas shadows in intestine as well as show up fecoliths and other information and an ultrasonography too.

You may take anti-spasmodic to relieve the pain.
Add curds/yogurt to the meals.
Avoid all the foods which you know that produce gas in your case.
No aerated beverages.
Control of stress and/or anxiety if you have.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
