Question: I began taking azithromax yesterday for a sinus infection. This morning I woke up itching all over my upper body and in my scalp. Should I stop taking it? I took the 2 pill first day dosage. It's been 22 hours ago now. my email address is YYYY@YYYY

You can become allergic to a medication at any time, even if you have taken it before with no problems.
Itching is a definite sign of an allergic reaction.
If you have any shortness of breath you should go to the hospital.
If it is just itching and/or a rash take a non-sedating antihistamine like loratadine and the itching should go away in time.
Make sure that you tell your doctor about this drug reaction so they can put it into your medical record.
If you feel that you really need an antibiotic then see your doctor for another option.
