Question: My 15 year old daughter has severe pain in the right portion of her body, particularly in the arm, shoulder and back. I have got all the relevant tests done but the reports are normal. No one has been able to diagnose the problem. What could it possibly be?
Brief Answer:
Need to rule out nerve compression in neck/back.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
It is unfortunate that your daughter has severe pain, and moreover, no clear cut diagnosis has been made.
The most common cause would be to exclude nerve compression in the neck/back. If you can upload her MRI spine reports here, it would be useful.
Also, vitamin D deficiency can cause these symptoms, so, please upload her vitamin D level report also.
I hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
Best wishes,

Brief Answer:
I have seen the MRI and X-ray reports.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back and uploading the MRI/X-ray reports of XXXXXXX
Fist of all, I would like to reassure you that there is no serious neurological disease.
However, she has mild disc disease in the lumbar (lower back) region. For this, physiotherapy is the main treatment, which would include IFT/ultrasound, etc for pain relief, followed by neck/back extension exercises.
She should also improve her sitting posture, in consultation with the physiotherapist.
In terms of medications, pregabalin capsules may be helpful.
