Question: Hi,
I have a feet pain for more than four months now. I have met the foot doctor and the sports medicine doctor too. They informed me that i have a plantar fascistic. I still have pain after having orthotics and other remedies that i mentioned below. Is there curable or am i missing anything? I want to run again. Thanks in advance.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

Plantar fascitis can be treated by variety of methods like oral NSAID medication, night splints and orthotics, calf stretching exercises, local Steroid injection, surgery in the form of Plantar release and removal of bony spur.

If you weren't responding to oral NSAID medication, calf stretching and plantar fascia stretching exercises, cold sponging and orthotics then I would recommend you get a local steroid shot which will give relief for about 3 months. Also you need to lose weight if you are obese and stay for with regular exercise. Also wear soft MCR Rubber slippers and footwear. You can also soak your legs in XXXXXXX warm salt water thrice a day for good relief.

Try this for a week. If no relief I would consider getting an Xray to look for bony spur and plan surgical removal of such a spur asks also if needed surgical release of a tight plantar fascia.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
