Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Leg

Question: I have been having pain on the outer side of my left leg for about 2 months now. the pain seems to be on the side of the outer calf, and travels down into the ankle what could this possibly be? this pain sometimes subsides and comes back later. it does bother me sometimes when I first lie down what could this be.

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

What you are describing may be different things depending on the physical examination.
Some of my thoughts are:
-- Do you have varicose veins?
Does your leg has changing of the color or heat in different parts or comparing to the other side?

Sometimes in cases with varicose veins happens for those veins to get blocked, especially while you are walking, causes the pain and then when you stop the pain goes down.

-- It can be muscular, from a nerve, or from a ligament. You might have strained one of those tissues and now its taking its time to heal.

Which of this is, will know only with a good exam, and if needed with an MRI to show in details the structures present in the leg.
