Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Head
Question: From time to time, I have severe pain on the head .. Feel like on the moving vain...that moves from side to side. While traveling on the plane during descending, there is a severe pain from the nose upward to the the center of the head and a vein above a left eyebrow is pumpimin up. What tests could be done to identify the problem?

Do you have fever? Any visual abnormalities? Any other trigger except flight? Do you have any vomiting in early morning? Any weakness noted in your body? Any ear problem?
Based upon the history it is difficult to pick the pathology. You need to be examined before a reasoned conclusion can be drawn.
If am your attending physician after examining you clinically I will get your FBC, ESR and X ray paranasal sinuses.After then I will be able to proceed.
If the above symptoms are not present. Then it is assuring and no need to worry at all.
Sometimes during descent in flight the pressure across the ear drum changes and causes eustachean tube to block. This may precipitate headache.
Stay calm and try to use chew gum while whole flight. You can use acetaminophen to relieve pain .
