Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Calf Causing Difficulty In Walking
DVT should be ruled out
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Its most likely to be muscle strain. However a DVT should be looked for especially if there are risk factors like prolong immobility, obesity and smoking are there. If the calf is painful , swollen and/or tender then a Doppler ultrasound of the lower limbs should be done to rule out DVT. If the Doppler is clear then NSAIDs, muscle relaxants, physiotherapy can be advised.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
