Brief Answer:
Endometriosis possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about pain during periods.

Following is my reply:

1) Pain during periods you have mentioned is unlikely to be due to hernia or ulcer.

2) This pain appears to be due to endometriosis ( collection of blood in ovaries over a long time).

3) This needs to be identified by a transvaginal ultrasound scan. Please request your doctor for a TVS scan to identify endometriosis. If there is endometriosis, it needs to be operated out.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya

Brief Answer:
I still consider endometrosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Such pain is likely to be due to endometriosis. All endometriosis cases cannot be identified by ultrasound scan. Please get a diagnostic laparoscopy done during the surgical procedure of hernia if you are undergoing.

During laparoscopy, these endometriotic spots can be identified and burnt with an electric cautery. Probably this is the reason for your infertility also. Please get laparoscopy done.

Sensation of bloating is due to progesterone hormone which is not a problem.
