Question: Muscle pain in left calf with unexplained visible bruising at point of pain. No pain if leg is in the resting position.

Hello, Thank you for posting your question on Health Care Magic.
First and foremost spontaneous un explained bruising is not normal ,unless it is due to any trauma which you may or may not have noticed.

But since you are sure it is sudden I would recommend you to get a Bleeding time,clotting time ,prothrombin time and inr done.

Regarding the pain in your calf muscle it could be a simple muscle pull or even deep venous thrombosis ,please get a doppler Ultrasound of the lower limb done .
Meanwhile apply ice pack on the area and keep the leg elevated.
Start taking Tab Limcee which is vitamin C once a day .
