Suggest Treatment For Severe Muscle Aches And Rashes

Question: Hi,

I am 31 Male. In the mid of Aug, one fine day, i got moderate bearable body pain/muscle ache. After 2 days, i got rashes in my body (lower part of neck, chest and backside till hip). i thought to be chicken pox and followed traditional (village side) treatment for 8 days. but rashes didnt go away and i had moderate bearable itching.

Then i consulted General medicine doctor who has prescribed Cefpodoxime and a lotion (calamine based) which has lowered the itching a little. unfortunately i did not followed the prescription continuosly and the rashes got aggrevated.

Then i decided to meet up a dermatalogist who has prescribed a moisturizing cream, oilatum bar (mild soap) and momate fuorate ointment. with this, almost 75% got settled in 1 month but still some persisted.

10 days back, i again visited the same dermatalogist. he examined and prescribed the same moisturizing cream and momate fuorate lotion (format changed from cream to lotion) and asked to apply onalternate days for 3 weeks.

With a great frustration, i applied twice a day and the rashes got settled within 4 days. now i am completely free from rashes and itching.

But since last 3 days, i developed a small white bubble like thing on left and right side of tongue. one developed last thursday and seems to be settled down now. Other one started today and it looks like reddish bump with a minute white dot on it. i dont have much pain but ver little.

I am greatly worried and suspect if it is of severe viral infections like STDs. Can somebody pls advise on this? i am mentally frustrated because of these since last 3 months.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the query.

I can understand the frustration that you are going through since last 3 months or so.

From the history i feel that the rashes and the infection that you had is gradually settling down. The main lesions that you had on the skin have almost gone by now.

The bumps that you have noticed on the tongue can be due to glossitis (inflammation of the tongue, normally we call it body heat )

This can occur due to the strong medicines that you have been taking for the skin lesions. Usually these go away with multi vitamin tablets.

Apply local anti septic gels and you will be fine. Don't worry.

If at all,you are so much worried, then,to be on safer side, you can get your blood checked for STDs.

I hope the answer was useful.

Thank you.

Wish you a speedy recovery
