Question: I had severe left leg crump around 2:30am and it lasted for about 5 minutes it went away after I massage it and try to walk but it came back again, it was on my right leg also but was not as bad and it went away . After the pain on my left leg went away I lay down and put a pillow under my knees was able to sleep but it woke me up again with the same pain

Hi an welcome to HCM.
There are several possible causes. If this was just single cramp and there is no repeated attacks then you dont need to be worried. But if this will be often, then you need to rule out possible circulatory issues first. This may happen due to atherosclerosis of arteries in legs and you should do Doppler ultrasound to rule this out. Second, it may be sign of magnesum ,calcium or vitamin D insufficiency so these supplements may be beneficial. Anl last, it may be neuropathy due to diabetes, alcohol intake or spine cord compression and if dirst 2 are ruled out, you should have neurological examination. Wish you good health. Regards
