Question: My query to Dr XXXXXXX heijebu .My uncle has severe shoulder joint pain.He is diabetic, also his blood glucose is not in control,please suggest me what should I do.
Please update my query to Dr XXXXXXX only, I don't want other doctors to take up my query

Possible periarthritis of shoulder

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

I can certainly understand your concern.

Severe shoulder pain in presence of diabetes, can suggest significant periarthritis of the shoulder.

This is most common in Diabetic individuals.

For this, I advise you to get an x ray of the shoulder both in AP and lateral views.

Further management if any is largely based on test reports.

Intraarticular steroid injections can cause dramatic pain relief.Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.

Additionally I advise you to get an ECG AND ECHOCARDIOGRAM to rule out heart disease.
