Brief Answer:
A comprehensive differential diagnosis is necessary.

Detailed Answer:

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that your clinical scenario may be caused besides a possible sinusitis, also by an increased not yet diagnosed high blood pressure. So, to exclude this possibility, you need to closely monitor your blood pressure values frequently.

This bad headache at the top of your head, worsening with coughing may be also a sign of increased intracranial pressure (which from its part may be caused by several intracranial lesions).

To better differentiate between a possible sinusitis and increased intracranial pressure syndrome, it is necessary to perform a careful neurological status examination by a neurologist coupled by a head CT scan.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Feel free to ask me when ever you need! Greetings! Dr. Iliri
