Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache

Question: hello doctor

im 28 years old. recently from past one week im suffering from severe headache and nervous pains around my ears and throat till forehead. along with giddiness which lasts fr few minutes. the pain is so much that i cannot open my eyes or work on system.

please advise what to do.

I have noted your symptoms. The most likely cause of your headaches is migraine with associated vertigo.

For relief of symptoms, you can take Naproxen (for relief frim headache) and betahistine (for relief from giddiness) tablets.

As you have been having frequent headaches, you should consider treatment to prevent future headaches (with flunarizine or propranolol tablets).

Yes, some symptoms are common.

In migraine, additional symptoms such as nausea. vomiting, dizziness, etc are present, while these are absent in tension headache. Also, headache may get worse when exposed to light or noise, in patients with migraine (but that is not the case with tension headache.
