Question: Hi,
I am facing with hair fall from past 3 years and i am 23 years of age. for the first 1 and half year I have not used any medicine later I consulted Dermatologist and he prescribed me with Tu gain 5% gel (Morning and Evening),Finpecia tablets (daily one after breakfast) and X GAIN shampoo. after using for 1 and half year i could see some change as my hair is getting strong and I could see some hair follicles growing. But I have stopped it from past 4 months and I could experience hair fall again so I have started using those medicines again but this time i could not see much difference .
And one more important is I have joined GYM which means I am gonna sweat a lot as I love working hard at GYM. There will be a lot of sweat on my scalp. Is is the SWEAT that is causing the hair fall .

Please provide me with solution as I am a bit worried now.
should I use Tu gain Gel or Tu gain solution (5%)??

thanks

Brief Answer:
Continue tugain gel and finpecia, sweating won't increase hair fall

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.

You are having androgenetic alopecia and we don't have a permanent cure for it.
Minoxidil is the most effective drug in the treatment of male pattern baldness.
It is normal to have hair fall after stopping the use of minoxidil.
You will have to use minoxidil till the time you want hair.
You can use tugain gel 5 percent twice daily.
Also take tablet finpecia.
Sweating is not causing hair fall.
You can easily do gym as it is a hormonal type of hair fall.

Ok thanks.I still have some questions please answer/clarify.

Is Tu Gain gel(yellowish gel) GOOD or Tu gain solution(looks like normal solution).

And what is this hormonal type of hair fall and how is it different from normal hair fall. Is it not dangerous enough to cause baldness. Or the hair fall caused by the hormonal type of hair fall will again be grown or any chance. If not is there any remedies that i should follow to stop this hair fall other than/along with following the mentioned prescription.

As I got at the very young age taking Finpecia will have any sex related problems in future as I came across this thing from online.

And once more thing is I am always shaving my hair completely every month and not letting it grow on my head as I feel like I am gonna lose it if I grow hair more length as I am experiencing it right now and I feel easy to apply Tu gain gel as well when i am completely shaved.

Castor oil and olive oil is good for hair as I have read it from an online source so should I apply it daily so make my hair stronger. If there are any other oils that are good to strengthen the hair please let me know.

My facial hair has also grown much higher above the cheeks from the time I started applying Tu gain gel. Is there any thing that I can do to stop form facial hair growth.

Or hair transplantation and beard lining(shaping of beard/Electrolysis) recommended. How much will it cost for hair transplantation and electrolysis.

Please provide answers to my questions. Waiting for your response.

thanks

Brief Answer:
Can go for tugain gel, hormone means testosterone mediated

Detailed Answer:
You can go for tugain gel as there is problem of dribbling with solution.
Hormonal hair loss is basically male pattern baldness which is testosterone mediated.
Over a period over few decades it can cause baldness.
The hair lost in androgenetic alopecia or male pattern baldness can regrow if the patient continues treatment.
Apart from the medicines prescribed you can go for platelet rich plasma therapy ( PRP therapy) or hair transplant at a later stage.
Finpecia can cause erectile dysfunction and loss of libido in 1-2 percent patients but it is reversible on stopping treatment and sometimes gets reversed while on finasterideinasteride.
You can shave your hair.
It won't have any impact on hair loss. Just application of tugain gel will become easier.
You can continue with castor oil , olive oil or coconut oil.
Excessive hair growth is due to tugain.
To avoid it apply tugain gel only on the scalp and it should not come down on the face.
Hair transplant is recommended in later stages of male pattern baldness.
The cost varies from clinic to clinic.
It is usually around 60000-1 lakh.
I don't know about the cost of electrolysis.
