Suggest Treatment For Severe Endometriosis With Frozen Pelvis

default
Posted on Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Question: I am suffering from severe endometriosis with frozen pelvis. I don't have any symptoms of the disease but my period on XXXXXXX 2013 was very painful & hence I had to go for laproscopy in next month (July 2013). According to my dr. I had bilateral ovarian cyst. Chocolate cyst on my right ovary & hemorrhagic cyst on my left. During laproscopy the cyst from the right ovary was removed but cyst from left ovary couldn't be removed as it was buried under intestine due to adhesion. Dr. suggested me to go for ivf quickly & I tried once but unable to get success. But during this time my pain increased a lot with burning sensation on the left side of lower abdomen. The pain is unbearable now & hence I decided not to go for second chance ivf.
Please give me your opinion to control my pain & disease. I am 30 years old with 4 years married life & don't have any children.

Brief Answer:
Pain killers can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The pain that you have is due to endometriosis. The pain happens during the periods. Pain killers can provide temporary symptomatic relief. IVF is the best option available to get an early conception. The pain will subside once you become pregnant.
Till then you can consult a pain specialist to get stronger pain killers prescribed according to the intensity of your pain.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Dr.
Thanks for your reply.
But I had tried pain killers medicines like Meftal Spas, Drotin M, Tramazac & even Combiflame. But all are good for nothing. Evry time I had to take injection Dynapar AQ for pain relief. I want to know about permanent pain relief solution from this problem. I am fed up with the pain every month. Associated problems like migrane, nausea, gas, digestion problem are arising day by day.
Let me know the permanent cure of this.

Brief Answer:
Surgery is the permanent cure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The permanent cure is surgical removal of cysts and ovaries. This will cause menopause and you will never be able to conceive. Medicines like birth control pills can help but you cannot bear children while taking those medicines. If Inj. Dynapar is helping you then it is best to continue taking it during the periods of pain. The pain killers that you have taken till now are the mild ones. Stronger pain killers like opioids can be used for relief.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Thank you Dr. once again.
As you know presently I am 30 years hence it would be difficult for me be in menopause from now. If I stay on OCP, how long can I delay the surgery & is their is any possibilities of endometriosis growth on other organs in upper abdomen. I had frozen pelvis with adhesion so is their is any chance of Cancer in future. Actually a lots of things are going on my mind so am little bit confused at present. Need valuable suggestion from Dr. like you. Please guide me to have a better future ahead.

Brief Answer:
It does not develop into cancer.

Detailed Answer:
While taking Oral pills you can delay the surgery. The time varies between 2 years to 10-12 years depending on the severity of the disease. In case the disease spreads , it can spread to the upper abdomen also. This is not likely to cause cancer in future. In my opinion you are getting the right treatment. Pain control with the help of medicines is the best way out till you complete your family.
