Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness And Inner Ear Infection

Question: I was woken in the night with severe dizziness and R.E.M. With my eyes open and shut. I have no headache. Slight earache. I have rested in bed all day and I'm ok when I stand. It seems to happen if u mice my head side to side especially when laying down. Thanks

The likely cause for your severe dizziness ( vertigo ) is an infection in your inner ear (labrynthitis).It often is viral and is self limiting after a few days. You can take Betaserc ( Betahistne ) tablets to control the symptoms.
If you don't get better, it would be advisable to see an otorhinolaryngologist ( ENT doctor , have yourself examined and treated.
