Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea, Cough And Chest Pain

default

Question: I went to a doctor this past week. He did not want to give me his thoughts on what was going on due to my lack of insurance and directed me to an insurance broker to help me get low cost insurance. He noticed 4 small growths in a string on the back of my throat and I am dealing with chest pain on the right side with some inflammation. He asked if I had accompanying diarrhea and I said yes. He is also asking me to be referred to an ear nose throat specialist after I am approved by an insurance carrier. I have a terrible cough with phlegm that gets worse when I lay down. It was the cough that brought on the pain and inflammation on my right side.

Brief Answer:
You may be having acid reflux

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Cough on lying down is typical of acid reflux and can easily be controlled when the reflux stops.

This acid reflux can also lead to the swelling on the Base of the tongue which you are experiencing.

The best thing would be to avoid spicy and oily food for next one month. Have an early dinner and try to reduce your stress in life.

In my patients I normally start a course of pantoprazole-D 40 mg once a day before breakfast for a month.

Don't worry! You will be fine

Take care
