Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea And Stomach Pain
Question: Hi,
I had Diarrhea and stomach pains for about 6 days before going to going to Patient First. They ran test but could find nothing wrong with me. Im going on day 15th with the same issues and I cant believe there isn't something wrong? I going to my primary doctor tomorrow. I thought I would follow up with you first. Thank you for your time. I appreciate your concern
If there is no fever, blood in stool or a high white count/ leucocytosis then its not an infectious diarrhea. C. diff toxin testing should be done.Stool for ova and parasite should be examined. If negative for c diff and protozoa then probiotics (enterogermina) , fiber like ispaghula husk and anti diarrheals like loperamide can be advised for a week to see for improvement.
