Suggest Treatment For Severe Constipation And Anal Fissures

Question: Hello Dr.

My wife (27) is occasionally suffering from constipation after the birth of our first baby. This also results in bleeding from anus sometimes and pain.

Visited doctors few times, sometimes they say it due to lack of water which is caused by breast feeding, some said its symptoms of anal fissure. Taken medicines as per their advise, but it's been 8 months now since her delivery and still exist.

Please advise to cure the same. Any diet recommendation or specific test/treatment ?

Hello dear it is a very common problem after delivery and thus needs good and proper care
Ask her to take at least 2 litres of water daily and take 2 glasses of lukewarm water in morning.
Take Ample amount of salads along with fruits for fibre.
Syrup Duphalac is recommended for at least 10 daily twice a day till stool is soft
Even if it is a fissure it will heal
