I always know when i am getting something because my tonggue breaks out i n spots .geographic tongue i have always had this. I get checkups every y 6 months i have had a ekg and the other one .i have slight leakage but nothing abnormal.
Whyam i getting this fluttering on my upper right side of my chest? Could i have pulled a chest muscle or is it acid refux related.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!
I read carefully all your concerns and I understood your query.

You are reporting to have cold and coughing twice per year.
Your symptoms may be related with :
- GERD especially LPR (laryngopharingeal relflux)
- seasons allergy
- smoking
If I were your treating doctor I would recommend to do allergy tests to rule out seasons allergy.

Otherwise I would recommend to
- continue PPI's for 8 weeks
- perform 24 h ph metry and manometry when you are with cold and coughing.

It is very important to change lifestyle and diet, it will help to improve GERD symptoms.
Wish you all the best!

I repeat i have a intermittant flutter in upper rightchest what is causing this? This is sunday it is not bothering me today. Is this acid reflux related or something else should i get a stress test? I have had both a ekg and a echocardiogram done already .could this be cardiac arithymia of some kind or something else. What should i do next?

Following advice.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Your symptoms are most likely related to GERD than to cardiac arrhythmias. GERD is manifested with palpitations (fluttering sensation) and you shouldn't worry about.

However in order to definitely exclude arrhythmias I would recommend to discuss with your cardiologist about doing Holter monitoring (24-48 hours rhythm monitoring).

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
