Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain
Question: My mom is suffering from back pain form more than 10 years now and we have shown her to many doctors and most of them are suggesting a surgery. Last MRI is taken at 2013 and latest X Ray is on Sep 2015 with below result.
"LUMBOSACRAL SPINE RADIOGRAPH - AP / LATERAL - FLEXION AND EXTENSION VIEWS
Grade I spondylolisthesis of L4 over L5 with spondylolysis at L4.
Pre and paravertebral soft tissues are normal.
Lumbar vertebral bodies , transverse process, spinous process, pedicles are normal.
IV disc spaces are normal.
Both SI joints are normal."
Kindly let me know your opinion on the pros and cons of operation and whether it is absolutely needed for the above mentioned condition.
