Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety, Earache And Sore Throat
Question: HI Doctor,
I hope i am not troubling you. I had posted previously over the protected Oral sex episode and subsequent testing for HIV through DNA PCR Test at 14 days P24 Antigen Test at 21 Days and an ECLIA test at 28 days all Negative. Despite your assurances that have to move on my anxiety levels are not going down. I do agree that i have been reading a lot of on-line forums which of course say insensitive Oral sex is almost zero risk activity. When said that, there was also a forum that said HIV can transmit through deep kissing. I recall during the incident there was a very brief kiss like i had mentioned in my previous post, where i stopped immediately. The concern is i came back home and brushed,hard. I usually bleed a bit when i clean my tongue during brushing. As mentioned previously i i have have an ear ache for which i am taking Levocetrizine as you had suggested.
I am not able to take this anxiety any more its effecting my work.My body temperature is going up and down i saw a blister on my face and thigh i went in to panic again. I feel pins and needles on my body twitching of muscles i start googling i came across peripheral Neropathy i got scared.There is pain behind the ear when i salivate. Again google tells me people in early stage of HIV have Parotid glad issues or what ever it is. One thing i can assure you is it was the only time i have ever spent time with a massage girl. Protected oral sex was the only mistake of my life .
I work in a key position which involves me in taking critical decisions all this anxiety is effecting my work. please please please advise

Hello Friend.
Say it 100 times that you don't have HIV and you would be all right.
The symptoms of peripheral neuropathy come very late in the course of HIV illness. Your all symptoms are highly consistent with HIV.
Just think that in this weather any one can have an Upper respiratory tract infection that can cause ear pain and even lymphadenopathy.
Take a course of antibiotic like Amoxycillin along and you would be fine.
I don't feel there is any need of further testing as Kissing is also considered as low risk exposure and your all tests are already negative.
You may get ELISA test for HIV again at 2 months and that would be conclusive for sure.
As far as anxiety part is concerned, just build up confidence in yourself and make up your mind that you can't link all symptoms to HIV.
If Google could diagnose and treat then all doctors in the world would have been on road begging around.
Stop reading forums. You just built yourself a trust that you are disease free and start meditation.
I have seen people ending up with severe anxiety requiring Anti Anxiety and Anti depressants just because of this excessive research on internet.
Go ahead. Move on with your beautiful life.
Moreover trust us. Think that in worst case you even get HIV we are now capable of treating at this early stage.
So there is no blind end. There are only hopes.
