Brief Answer:
stool pH is the test

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.

There are many food that produces eccessive gas like dairy products, beans, cabbagae, rice and pulses.

Food that can not be digested in our body is utilised by bacteria in our intestine and in the process they produce gases which can be detected by stool examination specifically stool pH. If it is less than 6 suggest there is either lactose intolerance or some carbohydrates which can not be digested by our body due to deficiency of that enzyme. So get your stool pH And at least avoid above mentioned food.

There are few medicines which I found very useful in my patients with bloating are simethicone which comes in syrup and soft gelatin capsule and the other ones is gasex by company Himalaya which is an ayurvedic medicine.

I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. Wish you a good health
