Suggest Treatment For Severe IBS

Question: hello doctor i am patient with severe IBS . I had Hpylori and wasntreated for it 3 years back . then i had gastritis infection last year and had endoscopy done and was treated . i ambdiabetic and my HB1Ac is 5.6. Now onhave complaints of irregular bowel movements and severe gas when intake spicy food . when i took flagil i was feeling good 6 months back. Now again it had started . when ever i have food i get gastric pain. now i have ciplox tz tablets whichbi intent to start . need your advice and permanent solution

I understand your concern and situation.

I would suggest you not to self medicate and take antibiotics regularly it would be indeed harmful. I would suggest basic changes in diet and activities, IBS will improve over time. Avoid coffee, teas, and soda. Take fiber rich fruits, vegetables, grains and nuts. Drink at least 1.5 l of water per day. Do not smoke. Practice meditation and exercise or by reducing stress in your life. Limit the amount of milk and cheese. Eat smaller meals more often or eat smaller portions. Drink juices, take calcium and multivitamins supplements some antacid tablet. Avoid junk food, oily and spicy food.

can i take a mild antibiotic as i feel the stool has a bit if foul smell? pls give me a mild antibiotic to solve the mild infection same time iam sensitive and have tendency of loose motions with heavy antibiotics

The regular intake of antibiotics causes diarrhea. I would not suggest you to take any antibiotics for your benefit. I would suggest you to get stool routine microscopy and culture sensitivity test done. Stay in follow up.

doctor i have swelling of foreskin of my penis iam raking zanocin tablets doctor prescribed when he saw bacteria in urine ,can i apply fourderm cream to reduce swelling and cure looks like fungal

You are having urinary tract infection and must take antibiotics regularly. Take urine test after 2 weeks. Drink plenty of water. As far as swelling is concerned it is usually due to poor hygiene. I would suggest you to practice good hygiene, avoid the use of perfumed or deodorizing products on your penis and dry the penis after bath. Yes you may apply fourderm.
