Suggest Treatment For Sebaceous Cyst On Face
Question: Hi , for the past couple if years I have been getting sebaceous cist which I have to have a smAll surgery to remove them I only get it on my face and it's not nice I have used many face waSh , creams I wash my face allot but I still keep getting them
I need a solution for this

Thanks for writing to HCM.
Usually sebaceous cyst don't occur over the face. I guess you must be having acne or boils. But it should had stopped by this age.
These usually happen on an oily skin, due to infection which blocks the pore of the glands, and apart from washing your face regularly, you can try a course of antibiotics. You can take simple antibiotics like doxycycline 100mg, once daily for five days, or azithromycin 500mg, once daily for three days,and repeat after every two weeks, for 4-5 cycles.
If the condition still dosen't gets in contol, you need to show to a dermatologist for a clinical evaluation. And also get your blood sugar levels checked, as an impaired glucose metabolism can also lead to this.

Regarding your answer i have taken antibiotics regarding this like after have the puss / cyst removed the doctor gives me a course of 5 sometimes two weeks of anitibiotics it does help but did not solve the problem
I have had around 7 small surgeries and all were behind the ears , neck , near my ears and face in general yes i do have an oily skin but i do not get much acne/pimples and if i do its usualy in the face area
I have used allot of face wash cleansers acne creams but do not know which to stick to as everytime a different dermotoligist suggest a different make , i had my blood sample checked and result were all normal
As a person i do eat allot of vegitables and fruits
And i am not allergic to anything that i know of
I do smoke though
The physicians that i have seen before have given me diffetent answers like it can be from food that i eat , or my sleeping habbits etc etc but not the right solution reason or treatment .
What do you think is the best solution to my problem
If there is anything else i should let you know or that will help please feel free to ask.
And if you can suggest the best face wash , face cream or any kind of medicine i shoukd stick to

Sebaceous cyst develop as a result of blockage in the duct of the sebaceous gland. And these are mostly present over hairy areas like scalp and back but can occur anywhere except for palms and soles.
Though there is no any prophylaxis for these or any specific reason that cause them, all you can do is keep the areas clean like washing your hair daily to remove excess oil and dirt that might block the duct.
Regarding the acne, the best prevention is frequent face wash. And there is nothing like a best cream or best face wash. It all depends upon what works best for you. As you have already tried so many of them, so you must now be the better judge to decide what has worked best for you and you can continue that.
