Suggest Treatment For Scars On Face After Waxing

Question: My upper lip was waxed by a professional. However, a few days later it began to scar. I applied lanolin to help with the healing process, but now I am left with two large dark brown marks. Will a cream with tretinoin, 0.05% help to reduce the hyper pigmentation?
