Suggest Treatment For Scab On The Inside Of Nose
Question: Hi.
I have a scab on the inside of my nose and i know its not good but i keep picking it or it comes off when i blow my nose. Every time it dislodges from he nose i have a bad headache. This happens multiple times a day. Can nose picking cause headaches? My nose is always dry and stuffy and i feel the need to clean it constantly. Can you tell me why and could it be down to dehydration. The headaches worry me as i keep reading about the triangle of death area on our face

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.
After reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having
atrophic rhinitis with vestibulitis due nose picking. It results into scab formation with dry & stuff nose .
In your case , headache might because of nerve stimulation inside nose or due to infection inside nose with sinuses.
I would advice consult ENT specialist as soon as possible since it is a danger area of face .
Till then i would advice ,
1) Saline nasal spray or rinse thrice daily to loose scab with easy cleaning
2) Avoid nose picking , cut your finger nails
3) Antibiotic ointment twice daily to treat infection like ointment Neosporin H .
4) Antihistaminic levocetirizine at night to decrease secretion , itching & congestion inside nose .
5 ) antibiotic tablet

hello i am sorry but i have now developed pressure in my ears, both, same pressure you get as if you were in a aolabe. but it will bot go no matter what i do and they are ringing. it is driving me crazy. what can i do whilst i wait for my doctor appointment?
