Suggest Treatment For Rotten Egg Burps, Gas, Vomiting And Diarrhea

default
Posted on Mon, 3 Nov 2014
Question: I started out 2 years ago with having very frequent bouts of rotten egg burps and bowl gas that resulted in a very foul tasting vomit with milky yellow explosive diarrhea. This would last for 48 to 72 hours. I increased my fiber intake but did not help. I have in the last 2 years bled rectally with having increasing nausea low back pain. Now I have totally lost my appetite and now my joints are being affected. I feel like I have arthritis. My joints are red and hot and swollen. I am having about 10 to 20 bloody diarrheas a day. The blood is bright red to deep red mixed in stool and on top of stool. It doesn't matter if I eat or just drink water always a few minutes after I am in the bathroom. During going initially it all just comes out with no effort but then it's like I have muscle spasms and involuntary pushing that gets pretty violent and aggressive to the point I am exhausted and out of breath and sweaty. I am exausted all the time and I have no energy. My life has stopped because of this. I am only 44 years old and feel 90. Please help me.

Brief Answer:
Mostly IBD like UC is a possibilty

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Chronic blood diarrhea and joint pains may point towards inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis (UC).
If you have not done colonoscopy I would advise you to get a colonoscopy done to rule out ulcerative colitis. Once you done get back to me with report so we can plan further.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
