Brief Answer:
ENT specialist evaluation is needed.

Detailed Answer:
As I can see, you have been having ringing sensation in ear for more than six months. You were prescribed Tab Cinnarizine and you stopped taking that in fear of side effects.
My understanding is such symptoms may arise from inner ear vestibular pathology or higher auditory pathway pathology. You need clinical examination by a local ENT specialist for detailed evaluation. I need to have the following information to come to a provisional diagnosis-
1. Do you have any known medical illness, like diabetes, Hypertension, Thyroid disease, Heart disease?
2. Did you have fever prior to onset of such symptoms?
3. Do you have ear ache, aural fulness, vertigo?
4. Do you have any history of any rash or history of Herpes infection in the past?
5. Do you have numbness in area of face?
6. Do you have any problem related to body balance or gait?
You also need certain tests-
Complete blood count, urea, creatinine, electrolytes, ESR, fasting sugar, TSH
But, above all clinical examination by an ENT consultant is needed urgently and please also check your blood pressure.
For the time being, you may have the tablet you were prescribed. That was given for symptomatic relief. Regarding the side effects, I can tell you that every medicine has some side effect and we prescribe those medications after considering the risk benefit ratio and your doctor must have done that. In case you develop any side effect please report back to your doctor.
Please also restrict salt consumption and maintain good oral hydration. Further tests to rule out any auditory-vestibular system problem may be needed depending upon the clinical findings after examination by your ENT doctor.
Another issue is, Tab Cinnarizine is for symptomatic relief and it would also relieve allergic pathology in the vestibular system. Specific diagnosis is needed for further management. So, taking this medicine doesn't mean that you donot need any further evaluation.
Please write back with the reports of above mentioned tests and answer of the above mentioned questions for better understanding of the problem.
For any further query please write back.
