Brief Answer:
Vitamin deficiency is common

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is better to take a picture and upload it
How long do you have this problem?
Do you have white patches anywhere else? Do you have pain during swallowing? Do you have mouth ulcers, gum bleeding or tongue redness?
If there is pain, it is mostly cheilitis or angular stomatitis which are commonly seen in chronic vitamin deficiency especially water soluble Vitamin B and C deficiency or infection.
Please upload pictures.
Meantime please take Vitamin B and C supplements available over the counter.Tab BECOSULES, one tablet a day for 30 days, Tab LYMCEE one chewable a day for 30 days.
Hope this addresses the issue.

Brief Answer:
Examination important

Detailed Answer:
hi,

do you smoke? do you consume tobacco?
if yes to any one above it seriously needs examination and may be biospy of lesions.

if you do not smoke the risk is pretty less for serious problems. in such a case you can use Dentogel mouth paint for painful lesions along with vitamins as described in my previous answer. mouth gargles can help before having food to ease pain. dental examination is must if you have jagged tooth edges and carious tooth.

hope it helps.
