Suggest Treatment For Redness And Rashes On The Skin

default
Posted on Tue, 15 Nov 2016
Question: I have had these symptoms for a while now maybe two years. I get a crawly sensation like a bug just landed on my arm hair or face. I feel the bug crawl across my face and scalp. I get itchy but no rash visible, a little redness. The feeling has been getting progressively worse. Now, I am passing the itchies to people I work with and my family. I have had treatments upon treatments for scabies, several different creams and a couple of doses of ivermectin. The feelings will calm down some but then come back with a vengeance. I am depressed and have constant feelings of guilt when I see someone else got these "bugs" from me. It is extremely contagious. My dermatologist took a piece of skin from my arm (left scar) and concluded there was only redness and no trace of bugs. I am desperate and feel so depressed because of my condition.

Brief Answer:
Formication, a tactile hallucination to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

In my opinion, formication (a form of tactile hallucination) should be taken in consideration in your case.

Causes of formication range from drugs abuse, side effects of certain drugs, diabetic or other types of neuropathy, diseases of the spinal cord and peripheral nerves, alcohol withdrawal, etc.

It is necessary to discuss with your Doctor about these conditions and proper tests in order to achieve a correct diagnosis.

In my opinion, peripheral neuropathy should be considered as one of the most possible causes in your case.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.

Brief Answer:
Morgellons, itchy face syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

If you insist that is not neuropathy, then consider Morgellons disease and contagious itchy face syndrome.

Discuss with your Doctor about these issues.

Take care.
