Suggest Treatment For Red Rashes Caused When Exposed To Direct Sunlight
Question: hai doctor, my sister has a sensitive skin..when she goes out in Sun immediately her skin mainly cheeks and hands turns red colour....means she develops a rash......this is from atleast five years....I have attached two pics of her skin ( stomach and chest )
the rash on stomach and chest stay the same always. is this any serious problem...

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
I have seen the attached pictures.
From the pictures,your sister seems to have developed a rash of seborrheic dermatitis over the intramammary region .
It usually needs to be treated with application of topical antifungal creams containing clotrimazole.
As far as the sun sensitivity is concerned, regular application of a medicated sunscreen with spf more than 26 is necessary .It should be applied every time before going out in the sun atleast thirty minutes before sun exposure each time and should be re applied every three hourly if one tends to remain out in the sun .
People who develop sensitivity to sun exposure ,have to use sunscreen regularly and wear full sleeves cotton clothes .
