Suggest Treatment For Red Rash On Stomach

Posted on Thu, 19 Nov 2015
Question: Skin Condition that looks like a red rash on the stomach.
The pictures with the red lines are the most recent ones(from today) and the brown lines are before the treatment with the creams recommended by dermatologists. Now they don't have a concrete answer and just tell me to keep applying moisturizer to the affect area. It has been 2 weeks already and there hasnt been any improvement.

Brief Answer:
Looks like a fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM,

I saw your pictures carefully.

Yes, it looks like an inflamed fungal infection. The fact that after you have treated it, it has healed and changed to the level of those red lines, means that it actually was a fungal infection.
Fungal infections sometimes need a lot of time to get healed completely.
I would advice that you can either continue to use the antifungal cream for 2 weeks-1 other month, or as your doctors recommended use just a moisturizing cream- because at this level the fungal may be so little that it becomes self limited if it is not under the aggravating factors like humidity.

Hope this is helpful and answers your question.

I want to make sure you understanded the order of the pictures. The ones that I am shaved with the big lines is the current condition and the ones that I am hairy with the small lines are before the treatment.

I want to know if just with the fungal cream will even the tone of the skin entirely or should I preper for a more extensive treatment later on.

Brief Answer:
It should work to remove the infection just will take some time

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes, I understood the order of the pictures. It doesn't matter though, because it can't be anything else other then a fungal infection, who at the same time might have gotten inflamed.

So, to cover both of them I would suggest to take a steroid cream and a fungal cream and use them regularly for 2 weeks up to one month.

Hope I answered your question. Let me know if I can help you more.

Regards,

Ok I understand. One last thing, should I stop the moisturizer or continue with it? I mean apply all three products.

Brief Answer:
No, don't need to use the moisturizer

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

No, you don't need to keep the moisturizer if you use the 2 other creams. They act like moisturizers themselves. If you weren't using any of the creams, then you would need it.
