Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On The Vaginal Lips
Question: Hi,
I have a few small red bumps on the outer lips of my vagina and inner groin area. They are not itchy or puss filled or any of the other symptoms I have seen associate with bumps in this area. Any information would be helpful. My boyfriend just got STD checked and he was clean.

I have seen the attached images. These seem to be slightly fluid filled and raised bumps. These can be due to herpes. Herpes can be diagnosed by viral culture obtained from the fluid from lesion. There are also blood tests that can detect antibodies to the herpes viruses. Your dermatologist will guide you for the investigations.
As far as other possibilities in your case there are some inflammatory conditions of the skin which can trigger these kinds of things in the vaginal region but I really do not think that yours is a case where this is going on. I really encourage you to visit with your primary care physician for an true and thorough examination. There is no substitute for an examination to really find out what is going on.
