Suggest Treatment For Recurring Headache
Question: I have a reoccurring throbbing pain inside my head over my right eye. (middle of my forehead.) It seems to throb more when I am dehydrated. My mother had a meningioma tumor she found late in life. I am 55 year old female.

I understand the past history of meningioma should be disturbing to you for sure. However, this is not very classical for meningiomas.
It might be interesting to know if the headache is more intense in the mornings, if you experience any persistent nausea or vomiting and if you have any visual problems. In case you have these, this could be an indication of raised intracranial pressure and suggestive of a mass or tumor. It is also not very rare to have a tumor without these classical symptoms.
Do you experience any pain when you touch your head on the side of the pain? Temporal arteritis presents as such and responds very favorably to steroid therapy.
I strongly suggest a consultation with your neurologist and a CT scan. Possibilities of tumors, temporal arteritis, central venous thrombosis would easily be ruled out.
I think it is really to early , though not impossible to think of a brain tumor.
