Brief Answer:
Surgery should be planned...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand you are concerned about the problem. But recurring gall stone is an indication to remove gall bladder (cholecystectomy).

Every time a gall stone forms the pain lasts until it gets expelled spontaneously or is removed by procedures. If stone persists, it could lead to infection, gall bladder inflammation (cholecystitis), pancreatitis, pus formation, rupture and peritonitis. The last few complications listed are serious and life threatening.

She is exposed to those risks I mentioned every time a gall stone is formed. Therefore it is ideal for her to undergo gall bladder removal.

Gall bladder surgery apart from immediate complications may cause indigestion, feeling of fullness, bloating, loose stools and sometimes abdominal pain in a few patients. These aftereffects will be discussed by your surgeon.

Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need anymore information.
